>>> KEY TOWARDS SUCCESS IS JUST EFFORT, CREATIVE,PREPARATION AND APPRECIATION OF EVERY POSSIBLE CHANCES !!!!
Electric and electronic is two different things. However, majority
of university/college offer this combination course in order to meet the market
demand. Electrical and Electronic Engineering is a
broad-based course and develops in students a mastery of the basic engineering
principles underlying electrical and electronic engineering with emphasis on
electronic and micro-controllers-based design, operation and control of
electrical machines, power system generation and distribution, systems
modelling, automation and control. The program develops students’ abilities to
analyse, identify, formulate and generate specific solutions in the broad field
of electrical and electronic engineering.
Malaysia is still developing, thus the main demand is electrical,
instead of electronic engineering. But when comparing with pure electrical
course you will only found minor difference. In my experience, major in
electronic, power, or control system syllabus are similar for the first three
years. For the last years, some of the subjects are even same.
For those who interesting to major in electronic, the
mastery on computer programming should be emphasized to become competitive in
jobs market. In high technology electronic field, programming is the main
criteria. As the Electronics and
Electric sector moves towards the higher value added activities (besides
assembly), skilled talent with specialization such as wafer fabrication,
design, embedded systems and software development capabilities will be in
demand.
Many people wonder among the four main engineering, which one has
the highest pay. Some say chemical, some say mechanic, but according to survey
is almost same. Engineers’ salary mainly related to experiences, qualification
and capability. Determine which field is more suitable to you and make yourself
more competitive is far more important than choosing the field. If we really
want to do the comparison, the most lucrative should be the software
engineering.
Apart from that, there is a misconception that engineering are
extremely high salary job. Some people may tell you they can earn up to 6
digits. This is just because the gap between highly-skilled professionals and
normal professional is very big. It is a phenomenon generally happen in
developing country; in China the difference is even bigger. Anyway, engineer
still earn higher than average.
The
numbers of engineer is still insufficient, thus it is predicted that demand of
engineer in Malaysia will keep increasing for several years. Even though highly
in demand and highly paid, but among the professionals, they draw a
comparatively low remuneration package (according to president of IEM). But one
thing attractive is it has high employment rate.# Click here to know more about the salary information of fresh graduates (1-5 years)
