The purpose of this course is to introduce the
student to the field of mechanical engineering through an exposition of its
disciplines, including structural analysis, mechanism design, fluid flows, and
thermal systems.
Mechanical Engineering is one of the four main branches of
engineering. Mechanical engineering majors deal with the study and application
of machines by combining physical science, materials science and engineering
principles. They design, construct, control and maintain mechanical components,
instruments and systems to improve the quality of life.
Many people wonder among the four main engineering, which one has
the highest pay. Some say chemical, some say mechanic, but according to survey
is almost same. Engineers’ salary mainly related to experiences, qualification
and capability. Determine which field are more suitable to you and make yourself
more competitive is far more important than choosing the field. If we really
want to compare the field, the most lucrative should be the software
engineering.
Apart from that, there is a misconception that engineering are
extremely high salary job. Some people may tell you they can earn up to 6
digits. This is just because the gap between high skilled professionals and
ordinary professionals is very big. It is a phenomenon generally happen in
developing country; in China the difference is even much bigger. Anyway,
engineer still earn higher than average.
