Quote for SUCCESS >>> LUCK IS FOR THOSE WHO KEEP TRYING !!!!

Our current environmental threats have been triggered by two human factory; population growth and technological growth. Some of the environmental problems of the past have been local or regional but now we are facing global problem.

The biggest danger to this is our-indifference and ignorance. The rising level of carbon dioxide will inevitably raise global temperature and incur the risk of catastrophic climate changes. Our procrastination in dealing with this problem of the greenhouse effect is unjustified.

Apart from the catastrophic potential of greenhouse effect, our air is being degraded in other pernicious ways. Chemical are devouring our ozone layer and we can expect the ozone hole above the Antarctic to grow, causing increase exposure to ultra-violet ray. Among there, this will increase the risk of skin cancer and in the eventual failure of certain tolerant crops, for example maize, paddy, wheat and hop.
Secondly, the atmosphere has become so polluted that is no longer function as a self, cleaning agent. Deadly methane gases are no longer being properly broken down and the air we breath has become toxic cocktail.

Global warming with the attendant rise is sea level as ice packs and glaciers melt will also have major impact on our freshwater supplies. This factor combined with pollution may drastically diminish the avaibility of drinking and irrigation water in the not too distant future, perhaps bringing about the death of millions. Since one-third of humanity currently live within sixty kilometers of a coastline, rising sea elevation may create significantly socio-economic problems.

Another threat to our water supply is posed by radical changes to the land especially deforestation. When forest are destroyed and the natural cycle of transpiration, evaporation and condensation are disrupted, rain may be eventually reduced to trickle.

Widespread chemical contamination of streams and rivers is an additional threat. Chemical pollution continue to grow.

Deforestation presents a massive threat to land and air. Since forest absorb carbon dioxide, destroying them leaves more carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, and once again boosting global warming. The only type of we are creating is desert.

Deforestation also destroys the earth reserve of wild plant species. Opium, quinine, penicillin and most of our wonder drugs throughout the ages have been discovered and developed from plants. Now, as our jungle and forest roll back into oblivion, a whole trove of unrevealed curative powers will be lost forever.
